THE GIRL'S GRANDMOTHER
Based on the stories of women over 65 years old, The Girl's Grandmother portrays fragments from the life of an old lady who lives alone in her house and has her autonomy questioned because of her age. Throughout one year, starting in the fateful March of 2020, threatening times for public health were established, affecting everyone's daily lives. REVIEWS
Antônio Hohlfeldt - Jornal do Comércio (Commerce Journal)
“Sandra Dani is moving, Laura Hickmann is pure vitality. Liane Venturella’s voice in off, the quick passage of Lurdes Eloy as neighbor and friend of the grandmother and the scene in which Luiz Paulo Vasconcellos acts with Sandra are very well resolved, they are cinematographically well constructed, but allow to imagine how they would occur on a stage, as well as the lines in “off” that the granddaughter exchanges with the grandmother, with empty screens highlight the character’s displacement from on room to another. The setting in the Casa na Chácara was perfect. The inside settings were also befitting and evidence the fact that the text will not lose efficiency when performed on stage.”
